He is the secretary at Academy of Certified Hazardous managers – India Chapter. He has been secretary and member of board of directors of Institute of Environment and Hazardous Materials Management (IEHMM) from the last 13 years. He is also the member of board of directors at The Scouters from last 5 years.
Sandya Narayanan is member of the Solid Waste Management Roundtable ( SWMRT) Bangalore. A former stockbroker and a financial analyst, she ventured into solid waste management by chance.
Dr. Girish N Rao -
He is the Professor of Epidemiology at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences . He has been associated with KIMS and Ramaiah Medical College is a career spanning three decades.
Dr Ramachandra Kamat -
He is the Deputy HospitalAdministrator at Ramaiah Medical Hospital. He is also the Treasurer at ISHWM (Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management) Karnataka chapter. He was also part of the GOI /GEF / UNIDO project between 2014 - 2016 as a nodal officer
Prof . H N Chanakya- department of sustainable technology IISC - MODERATOR
Prof Chanakya is the chief research scientist at Centre for Sustainable Technologies (Formerly Astra) at IISc. He is considered to be one of the foremost experts in Biogas, Decentralized energy systems, water purification and agriculture. His bio reactor designs were pioneering as they inspired a whole generation of waste to energy technologies and has worked on the restoration project of Puttenahalli Lake.
Dr. D R Ravi - KSPCB
Dr. D R Ravi is the Deputy Environmental Officer in Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. He has 27 Years of experience. Engineer with M.Tech - Environmental engineer &Ph.D in Environmental Economics . He Is the core member for project (climate change) preparation of action plan for KSPCB
Dr.Sreekantaiah Pruthvish, Senior Public Health Consultant; graduated from Govt.Medical College, Mysore and did his MD in Community Medicine from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli. Worked as Professor & Head of the Department of Community Medicine at M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore since 2001 till 2018 February. Served at WHO – International Expert Consultant in Indonesia (Post Tsunami )with WHO SEARO and Papua Guinea with WHO WPRO ; Worked with WASTE, Netherlands in India and Sri Lanka (Post Tsunami).
Dr.S.Pruthvish was awarded – Dr.B.M.Patil award by KACH in 2008 and FISHWM at King George University, Lucknow by Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management by ISHWM and FAMS at AIIMS, Rishikesh 2014. Authored monograph on conducting survey on disability (1994) , Textbook on CBR for students of Physiotherapy (Jaypee Brothers 2006), Preventive Cardiology (Jaypee Brothers) and Associated with the publication of Information and Learning Units of Safe Management of Medical Waste in India in 2000 which is translated to Hindi, Tamil and Kannada ; Associated with developing training manuals of IGNOU and Health Care Waste under the Project “Environmentally Sound Management of Medical Waste in India”, has more than 50 scientific publications in National and International Journals. He has guided a large number of MBBS and MD students and also two PhD Scholars of RGUHS who have worked in the area of Health Care Waste Management and Community Defluoridation. Was associated with MSRMC, UNIDO and MOEFCC in the GEF/UNIDO/MOEFCC initiative of Environmentally Sound Management of India” Project till March 2018.
Chintan is the operations manager at Maridi Eco Industries Pvt. Ltd. He is experienced in heading on-site waste management team and safe disposal of waste received as per CPCB/SPCB guidelines. He holds a master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from VIT University.

Mr. Ramakanth, or Ana Hasiru, as he is fondly called, is a true waste warrior, initiator, and leader. After having worked abroad for years as a chief engineer, he has committed his life to the betterment of the SWM issues affecting Bangalore.
He is always in action – conducting, awareness campaigns in neighborhoods, training BBMP officials, coordinating with service providers, to creating processes in the city for waste stream pick-ups and traveling the country to give speeches and presentations. He is a man of action and makes things happen.
